Victory Welcome: World Esports Champion arrives back home

Myanmar representative e-sport players from YG (Yangon Galacticos) along with the supervisor and coaches arrived back at Yangon International Airport on August 7th after winning championship at the 2025 Esports World Cup held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

E-sport players from YG (Yangon Galacticos) participated in PUBG Mobile sport and grabbed E sports World Cup PUBG Mobile Gold Championship Trophy beating 24 teams from 16 countries including Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Turkiye, Brazil and EU.

China won 2nd prize and 3rd prize went to Mongolia. 1st prize winner E-sport player team from Myanmar was awarded with 550,000 USD. The victorious tem was warmly welcomed at the airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, region government members, many other concerned officials and e-sports enthusiasts.
