







An educational session and trial voting regarding voting machines was held at the City Central Community Hall in Loikaw, attended by Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and members of the state Government on August 7.
First, the Chief Minister gave an opening speech, stating that the state is making preparations in all aspects to hold a free, fair, and dignified election. He encouraged the public to get hands-on experience with the Myanmar electronic voting machines and ask any questions they had.
Following the speech, an official from the State Election Sub-commission office explained the structure and step-by-step usage of the Myanmar electronic voting machine.
The Chief Minister and other officials then observed and encouraged the public as they enthusiastically participated in the trial voting session with the electronic machines. They also warmly greeted the attendees.
The Chief Minister and officials then toured the Loikaw University campus to inspect the ongoing renovations and construction of various buildings, including the main university building, classrooms, student lounges, dormitories, staff housing, and faculty members' residences. The Pro-Rector and other officials briefed them on the progress of the work. The Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the officials.
It was reported that the renovation and construction of the Loikaw University buildings are approximately 75% complete. The university plans to reopen for distance learning courses in 2025 and for full-time classes for the 2025-2026 academic year.
