AFC U-20 Women Asian Cup: Qualifier match between Myanmar and Turkmenistan

The AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Thailand (Qualifiers) match between the Myanmar U-20 Women’s National Team and the Turkmenistan U-20 Women’s National Team was held in the evening on August 6, at Thuwunna Football Stadium in Yangon.

The match was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and his wife, members of the Yangon Region Government and their spouses, President of the Myanmar Football Federation U Zaw Zaw, and other officials, who came to watch and support the game.

At the end of the match, Myanmar U-20 Women’s National Team secured a victory with a score of 6 goals, while the Turkmenistan U-20 Women’s Team scored 1 goal.

Myanmar’s U-20 Women’s National Team is competing in Group (D) of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Thailand (Qualifiers), alongside Turkmenistan, Indonesia, and India. The remaining matches for Myanmar are scheduled to play against the Indonesia U-20 Women’s Team on August 8, and to play against the India U-20 Women’s Team on August 10.
