According to the announcement of the Information Team of the National Defense and Security Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Pro-Tem President U Myint Swe passed away at 8:28 AM on August 7, 2025, at the No. 2 (1000-bed) Military Hospital. A State funeral will be held for Pro-Tem President U Myint Swe.
