





A ceremony of signing agreements for an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project was held at the Ministry of Energy in Nay Pyi Taw on August 6.
The agreements were signed between Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) under the Ministry of Energy, and the companies including HNA Myanmar Oil & Gas Ltd. for onshore blocks IOR-4 (Pyay region), Area-1 and IOR-6 (Myanaung region), Area-3 and Future Engineering & Gold, Mining Co., Ltd. for IOR-7 (Shwepyitha region), Area-2.
The Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin attended the ceremony and delivered an opening speech.
The Union Minister noted that the Pyay, Myanaung, and Shwepyitha oil fields, located within the great Pyay sedimentary basin, have a strong history and great potential. He expressed his belief that using modern technology and equipment for exploration, evaluation, and drilling would be very beneficial for the state and would lead to success.
Following this, officials from HNA Myanmar Oil & Gas Ltd. and Future Engineering & Gold, Mining Co., Ltd. gave speeches expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to sign the agreements. The Managing Director of MOGE and company officials then signed the agreements and took a commemorative photo.
