








Under the management of the Tanintharyi Region Government, a "Festival for Library Development and Reading Promotion," organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with the Department of Education, was held with great fanfare at Basic Education High School No. 3 in Dawei in the morning on August 5.
First, the Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Chief Justice Daw Paik Paik Aye of the Region High Court, Social Affairs Minister U Thet Naing, Director Daw Myint Myint Khine of the Department of Information and Public Relations, and Director U Win Naung of the Regional Education Department cut the ribbon to officially open the festival.
Next, the Chief Minister and officials watched student performances, which included a traditional Myanmar dance from the students of BEHS No. 3, a fitness dance from the students of "Pyinnyar Shwe Pyi" Moedi Private High School, and a musical performance by the marching band and pom-pom squad.
The region government presented cash awards to the performers. The Chief Minister and officials then toured the festival, observing the exhibits on display. The Chief Minister personally greeted the student participants, encouraging them and presenting them with notebooks.
Approximately 1,800 students attended the festival. They enthusiastically viewed the photo boards and book displays and happily participated in the various competitions. Prizes for the competition winners will be awarded on August 6.
