





Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing observed the work being done under Phase 3 of the "Pan Khin" project which took place in the compound of the Township Immigration and Population Office in Lewe, Naypyidaw Council Area in the morning on August 5, for local residents who have lost or damaged household registration lists and citizenship scrutiny cards, as well as for those who have not yet received their citizenship scrutiny cards.
The Union Minister first greeted and spoke warmly with the local residents who came to apply for their household registration lists and citizenship scrutiny cards. He discussed any difficulties they were facing and coordinated with officials to provide the necessary support.
Next, the Union Minister toured the offices, observing the step-by-step processes of the One-Stop Service being used by staff to issue household registration lists and citizenship scrutiny cards. He also watched as Biographic and Biometric data were collected through the e-ID system to issue Unique ID numbers for those who already had their citizenship scrutiny cards. He then instructed officials on what was needed to improve the process.
Afterward, the Union Minister observed the verification of voter lists. Officials from the township office, the General Administration Department, and the sub-commission of the Election Commission were collectively verifying data collected from fieldwork to ensure the accuracy of the voter lists, and the Union Minister coordinated with them to address any operational needs.
Finally, the Union Minister inspected the offices, providing guidance and instructions as needed. He also provided bags of rice to the township office staff.
