




Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Joint Chief Executive of the National Defence and Security Council, and members of entourage and officials, departed from Yangon for Nay Pyi Taw by vehicles along the expressway in the afternoon on August 4.
During the journey, the SSPC Chairman inspected the conditions of road sections damaged by the earthquake. During the inspection, the SSPC Chairman observed the ongoing repair work at the culvert located at Milepost 94 on the expressway.
The SSPC Chairman provided necessary instructions based on the explanations given by the officials. Afterwards, they briefly stopped at the Construction Rest House by the expressway. In the meeting room, the Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission provided necessary guidance based on the presentations made by the officials.
Subsequently, the SSPC Chairman and officials continued their journey along the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. They inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the Swa Chaung Bridge. The Chairman instructed that bridge construction work should be carried out systematically, and that efforts should be made for bank protection along the Swa Chaung and to improve the waterway, along with other necessary measures.
The Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission and officials returned to Nay Pyi Taw in the evening, it’s learnt.
