Demonstration of Rice Cultivation: Kachin State CM observed the demonstration

To achieve the target yield for monsoon paddy in Kachin State, efforts are underway to educate farmers on correct input usage and cultivation methods, and to provide necessary support. In this regard, on August 4, at 8 AM, State Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan, along with officials, attended a collective paddy transplanting ceremony at the Bala Min Htin Model Farm.

Fist, at the Bala Min Htin Model Farm, the State Chief Minister met with farmers from the model farm and urged them to collectively strive to achieve the target yield for monsoon paddy by using correct cultivation methods. He emphasized that this would not only increase farmers' incomes but also lead to food sufficiency and surplus in the region.

Afterwards, he provided chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizer bags, and foliar fertilizers to the monsoon paddy farmers in the field. He then observed and encouraged, together with the farmers, the collective paddy transplanting demonstration and cultivation practices aimed at achieving the target yield for monsoon paddy and ensuring full crop coverage in the monsoon paddy fields, which are part of the farmer awareness program.
