Coordination Meeting: Loan repayment and agricultural inputs

Yangon Region Government on Saturday held a coordination meeting to speed up the repayment of COVID-19 loans by companies and business owners, and to ensure farmers have access to fertilizers and drum seeders to boost crop yields.

Chief Minister U Soe Thein said the loans were given to support businesses affected by COVID-19, and timely repayment is important. He also stressed the need to improve agricultural productivity especially rice, oil crops, and pulses by fully utilizing farmland. Attendees discussed matters for loan repayments and ensuring agricultural inputs are available.
