State of Emergency : Townships in 10 regions/states under State of Emergency

In order to accelerate the security measures to safeguard regional peace and stability and rule of law, the National Defence and Security Council issued an Order No 1/2025 as effective as law, in accordance with Section 412 (a) of the Constitution on Thursday.

It has stated that the council declared the 90-day state of emergency which takes effect in 5 townships of Kachin State, 3 townships of Kayah State, 2 townships of Kayin State, 7 townships of Chin State, 9 townships of Sagaing Region, 5 townships of Magway Region, 3 townships of Mandalay Region, 14 townships of Rakhine State and 15 townships of Shan State. The order was signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Pro-Tem President (Duty).
