Enhancing Cooperation: Meeting with UNHCR Representative

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met with UNHCR Myanmar Representative Ms. Noriko Takagi and party in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ongoing collaboration under the MoU between the Ministry and UNHCR/UNDP on the repatriation process for displaced persons from Rakhine State, visa procedures for foreign UNHCR staff, travel and residence arrangements for local staff, and coordination on humanitarian aid efforts.

They also exchanged views on continuing open and transparent cooperation between the Ministry and UNHCR.
