









In order to create a green, lush, and beautiful environment, to ensure the sustainability of forests and natural resources, to maintain a balanced ecosystem, to preserve the natural environment, to prevent natural disasters; to improve and stabilize the climate; and to raise public awareness and encourage active participation in tree planting and conservation efforts, the Third Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony of 2025 was held on July 26 in Plot No. 6, protected forest area, Taunggyi Township.
At the Third Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered a speech.
After that, the Chief Minister, the Chief of Staff of the East Command, and state ministers collectively presented saplings to be planted, along with copies of the book (“The Rainwater Reservoir”), written by Kyaw Oo, winner of the 2016 National Literary Award.
Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials planted trees at designated locations. They also observed and supported tree planting activities being carried out by various government departments, social organizations, members of the Myanmar Police Force, student nurses and midwives from nursing schools, and local ethnic residents. Additionally, they distributed more copies of the book (“The Rainwater Reservoir”), by Kyaw Oo.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and responsible officials visited and inspected the Shwe Nyaung Main Road (Mile 0/0 to Mile 17/4 – total of 17 miles and 4 furlongs) covering the Taunggyi – Lay Mile Kwe – Naungtali – Nyo Mi – Naungpanar Bwar – Lin Kwin – Htee Ree(Livestock Zone) route. The inspection was aimed at preventing road accidents, traffic hazards, and congestion within Taunggyi Township. During the visit, an official from the State Road Special Oversight Team presented the current condition of the road construction works, and the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the relevant responsible personnel.
