






A ceremony to distribute agricultural inputs to cooperative member farmers cultivating monsoon paddy in Hlegu, Hmawbi, and Htantabin Townships was held in the hall within the GBS compound in Yemon Village Tract, Hlegu Township, on July 24.
These inputs are funded by the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund to achieve 100% monsoon paddy cultivation in Yangon Region. Additionally, the Yangon Region Government also handed over fertilizers, seeders, solar (2-panel) 6-inch water pumps, and solar (14-panel) low-lift water pumps to monsoon paddy farmers.
During his opening speech, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein emphasized the importance of unity, harmony, and a spirit of cooperation in the cooperative system, as it involves working together to meet the social and economic needs of individuals in accordance with the will of the majority. He urged everyone to work in unison to promote national economic development through the Country’s Economic Promotion Funds. He also noted that the necessary high-yield paddy seeds and inputs have been provided to farmers in a timely manner, and encouraged them to strive for the target yield during this monsoon paddy season.
Following this, Chief Minister and officials handed over the agricultural inputs, fertilizers, seeders, low-lift solar water pumps, and solar (2-panel) 6-inch water pumps to officials and farmers from Hlegu, Hmawbi, and Htantabin Townships. On behalf of the farmers, one farmer expressed words of gratitude. The Chief Minister and officials then cordially greeted the farmers.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials reportedly toured and inspected the displayed agricultural inputs, machinery, and solar equipment.
