Approval for Party Formation: UEC approved PNDP to form political party

Individuals intending to establish political parties have been applying to the Union Election Commission (UEC), stating the names of the parties they wish to form.

As of July 23rd, a total of 27 groups have submitted applications for party formation. Among these, the Pa-O National Development Party was found to be in compliance with the Political Parties Registration Law and By-laws. Therefore, the Commission has approved its application to establish a political party on 23rd of July.

The Pa-O National Development Party, which has now received approval to establish itself, must apply for official registration as a political party within 30 days from the date of approval, in accordance with Section 7 of the Political Parties Registration Rules. As of 23rd of July, a total of 22 political parties have been granted establishment approval.
