







The 7th meeting of Yangon Region Investment Committee was held at the office of the Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yankin Township on July 23rd.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Yangon Region Investment Committee, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, committee members, and specially invited guests.
First, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and members inspected the product samples showcased by investors and business operators.
Following that, the Chairman of Yangon Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening remarks.
Subsequently, the Yangon Region Investment Committee approved two investment projects in the industrial sector, one being a 100% Myanmar citizen investment and the other a 100% foreign investment. The approved projects include the production and export of various types of beans after cleaning and processing. The manufacturing of various types of wearing apparel under the CMP system.
The total proposed investment capital for these projects is 3 billion kyats and 0.900 million USD. These ventures are expected to create job opportunities for 696 local workers.
In addition, the committee discussed and made decisions on proposals from 10 companies, including one company that plans to recruit an additional 185 local employees.
