Providing Retired Personnel: Rakhine State CM attended and observed the event

An event to distribute pension payments, provide healthcare services, and present provisions to retired civil servants in Sittwe Township was held at the Khine Thazin Hall in Sittwe. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, attended and observed the event.

First, the Rakhine State Chief Minister and his team warmly greeted the retired civil servants who came to collect their pensions. They then observed the necessary verification processes being carried out by Myanmar Economic Bank staff to facilitate pension disbursements.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials toured the venue, observing the ongoing pension payments, the healthcare services provided by staff from the Department of Traditional Medicine, and the medical care offered by specialist doctors, general practitioners, and nurses from the Sittwe 500-bed General Hospital. They also coordinated with relevant officials as needed. Subsequently, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the State High Court, members of the State Government, and other officials presented rice and foodstuffs to the retired civil servants, as awarded by the Rakhine State Government.

It is reported that the Myanmar Economic Bank starts disbursing pension payments from 7:00 AM on working days to ensure a smooth process for retired civil servants.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Rakhine State Government, healthcare services and the provision of rice and foodstuffs to retired civil servants in Sittwe Township are organized and carried out monthly at the Khine Thazin Hall in Sittwe, it’s learnt.
