Tourism Industry: Efforts for tourism development in Sagaing

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win on 20th July visited Sagaing to observe the ministry-owned building and land plot. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed officials to carry out systematic maintenance of the facilities to prevent from any losses.

At Hotel Sagaing, the Union Minister met with hoteliers, guesthouse entrepreneurs, and officials and urged all to make repair works for hotels and guesthouses, damaged by earthquake, with the assistance of recognized engineers and to resume operation in open-season.

He also pledged the Ministry’s assistance for the needs. Attendees presented the status of damages by earthquake, renovation processes and the needs for operation, in which the Union Minister and officials coordinated the needs. The Union Minister also inspected the progress of renovation works at hotels and guesthouses, while touring around the tourist destinations in Sagaing.
