






Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on July 18, inspected the preparation of Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) in Bahan Township and Secretariat Office in Botataung Township ahead of the July 19 Marty’s Day celebration.
At Bogyoke Aung San Museum, the Prime Minister toured around the museum, observing the motor vehicle of General Aung San, and commemorative photos along with the utensil of the general and publications.
After hearing the reports by the officials, the Prime Minister instructed for maintenance of the motor vehicle and conducting systematic renovation works of the museum without damaging original structure as well as cleanliness of the museum compound. Built in 1921, blending western architectural style Europen building, the Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) was General Aung San’s home where he lived together with his family from May 1945 to July 1947.
The Museum is opened for the public from 9 AM to 4:30 PM expect Mondays and public holidays. On Martyr’s Day falls on July 19th, the museum is opened for the public with free of charge.
Then, the Prime Minister proceeded to the Minister’s Office (the Secretariat) and inspected displayed documents, photos and Hluttaw hall.
As the Secretariat is one of the valuable places for the country, the Prime Minister gave necessary instructions for long-term maintenance of the photos, documents, office utensils, renovation and upgrading processes of the buildings using modern technologies and labelling works of the utensils.
