Health Sector: Appointment letters presented to newly appointed physicians

The Ministry of Health presented appointment letters to newly appointed doctors and dentists on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the crucial role of improving the country’s health standards, contributing to increased productivity, and advancing academic pursuits. He noted that the government is striving to provide quality health care services by implementing policies and action plans based on the nation's available resources. He added that arrangements are underway to provide emergency care at full capacity with reduced expenses.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to produce qualified human resources to ensure the delivery of quality health care services and the promotion of basic health care. To nurture more physicians, he stated that the State Administration Council established the Medical Faculty at Naypyitaw State Academy starting 2023. He also expressed appreciation for the dedication of those serving in the Ministry of Health to provide health care to the public.

During the ceremony, appointment letters were presented through representatives from four medical universities. The event also featured a video presentation showcasing the Ministry’s work, along with performances by students from the University of Nursing (Yangon) and other medical and related universities.
