Commemorative event: 38th IDADAIT held in Kayah State

Commemorative event for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2025 took place at the hall of Loikaw Township on June 26th with the attendance of Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin together with the many other concerned officials.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister said that illegal drug abuse and illicit trafficking is a global issue that poses significant safety risks and disrupts communities and it also accelerates terrorist acts within the country. As, the government is striving drug-free country in cooperation with international organizations, locals and related departmental officials are urged to cooperative in this process by conducting knowledge sharing on disadvantages and risks of using narcotic drug.

Then, the message delivered by Chairman of the Central Committee on Drug Abuse Control Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung was read along with the screening of documentary video clip on activities of Central Committee on Drug Abuse Control.

And, the Chief Minister cordially greeted the attendees and toured around the gallery display. During the ceremony, drug abuse pamphlets published by the state Information and Public Relation Department were distributed to the attendees and basic educations schools.
