Coordination meeting: MoSYA UM delivered the opening remarks

In order to successfully participate in 33rd SEA Games, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs held a work coordination meeting on administrative measures at the meeting hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw  on 25th June. 

In his speech, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung said Myanmar will participate in upcoming 33rd  SEA Games under 40 categories. Hosting 53 types of sports competitions, the 33rd SEA Games will be taken place in Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla of Thailand.

The Union Minister stressed on systematic athletes selection process in order to submit the names of the selected athletes to the host country in timely manner. Then, the Deputy Minister U Htein Lin made discussions on sports nutrition  matters  presented by coaches.

After making sector wise discussions on prepartion measures for the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, the meeting was concluded. Subsequently, the Union Minister met with the officials from Myanmar Women’s Sports Federation. During the meeting, the Union Minister heard reports on current work implementations of the federation on development of women’s sports sector and further work plans and coordinated requirements.

On the same day, the Union Minister attended the 2025 International Olympic Day Commemorative Ceremony at Nay Pyi Taw Gold Camp. There, the Union Minister enjoyed the Judo men/women single competitions and Jiu-Jitsu competitions and presented medals and memorable gifts to the winners.
