Sino-Myanmar relation: MoC UM received Chinese ambassador to Myanmar

Union Minister for Construction, U Myo Thant, received Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar, at the Ministry’s reception hall in Office No. 11, Nay Pyi Taw on June 24.

During the meeting, they held a candid and open exchange of views on various matters included the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative projects and strategic projects along the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, which are being carried out based on the friendly relations between the two countries.

Discussions also covered providing technical assistance and construction materials for the repair and new construction of buildings damaged by the major Mandalay earthquake on March 28, 2025. Furthermore, they explored other potential areas for bilateral cooperation in the construction sector.
