Olympic Day sports activities: International Olympic Day archery competition held

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, attended and presented awards at the 2025 International Olympic Day Archery Competition and Awards Ceremony held at the archery training ground in Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning of June 23.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, the Director-General, and officials, held a coordination meeting at the multi-purpose hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Camp (Gold Camp).

The meeting aimed to ensure the efficient utilization of additional funds provided by the state to supplement the meals for athletes currently undergoing training for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games. As per the agenda, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, delivered an opening speech.

Following this, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, discussed the current feeding arrangements and suggested additional food items needed for a balanced and nutritious diet. After that, the Director-General and Deputy Directors-General of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, the Director of the Sports Medical Division, and administrators and coaches from various sports discussed the specific nutritional needs for each sport, including the required daily calories, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fruits, and other foods for athletes.

They emphasized the importance of preparing and serving these meals in a balanced, waste-free, and systematic manner. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister coordinated and addressed the necessary points based on the discussions and recommendations.
