Tour in Loimwe: SAC Chairman inspects development works in Loimwe

Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife accompanied by  Council Joint secretary, his wife and officials inspected the development of Loimwe area in Shan State (East) on Sunday.

First, the Prime Minister and party arrived at the upgrading project of Keng Taung-Loimwe road, constructed by Road department under the Ministry of Construction. At the briefing hall, the Prime Minister heard reports on the project and completion tasks. Upon the reports, the Prime Minister instructed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the route.

At the Loimwe Lake, the Prime Minister and party observed the arrangements for solar-powered pumping system and spring water supply. The Prime Minister stressed the need to provide sufficient water in Keng Taung and Loimwe areas, preserving the forests in watershed areas.

He instructed to implement the highland farming system and cooperate with the experts and departmental officials for spring water supply. The Prime Minister and party later proceeded to the 107-year-old Station Hospital in Loimwe where they viewed round the hospital and instructed the plan to upgrade the hospital.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister and party arrived at the 100-year-old historic mansion where they viewed the documentary photos on the history of Loimwe and its landmark places. He also inspected the preserving works for long term durability of the mansion, stressing on the maintenance of utensil without losing the original styles.

Next, the Prime Minister and wife and party paid homage to Saturahta Thumingala Pagoda in Loimwe Hill Resort Town, and offered flowers, water and oil light to the Buddha image.  They then made cash donation for the pagoda and also paid homage the Buddha image in the compound.

Then, the Prime Minister and wife paid homage to missionary Sayadaw Bhadanta Vipola and donated cash and offertories. After paying homage to the pagoda in clock-wise direction, the Prime Minister stressed the officials to maintain the pagoda for long-term durability.
