Türkiye's Erdogan signs MoUs with Pakistan PM during state visit

Pakistan and Türkiye pledged to deepen cooperation in defense, mining, energy and other sectors during the 7th round of the Pakistan- Türkiye High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Islamabad, Thursday.

Turkish President Erdogan co-chaired the highest-level bilateral discussion forum with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. After the closed-door delegation-level talks Thursday, the two sides exchanged 24 signed documents, including a joint declaration, a few agreements, and several memoranda of understanding. 

The two countries also created a new Joint Standing Committee on security, defense, and intelligence under the high-level council.
