Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrives in Islamabad

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on Thursday as part of a four-day tour of key allies. He was greeted by Pakistan President and Prime Minister upon his arrival at Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi.

The two-day visit aims to boost trade and economic ties between Ankara and Islamabad. During the visit, the Turkish president will jointly chair “the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High Level Strategic Cooperation Council” and the sides are expected to sign a number of agreements. 

Erdogan is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif on Thursday.
