World Government Summit opens in Dubai

The 2025 World Government Summit kicked off in Dubai on Tuesday. At the summit, World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab called AI a 'systemic technology'.

Klaus Schwab, Founder of World Economic Forum said "AI is an enabling, it's a systemic, technology so it penetrates everything what we are doing, so governments have a big responsibility particularly, also as I mentioned, in shaping the necessary norms and rules."  

The opening day featured multiple forums, including the Future of Work Forum, Government Experience Exchange Forum, Government Services Forum, Future of Government Communication Forum, Artificial Intelligence Forum and Future of Education Forum. Running until 14th February, the 12th edition of the summit brings together heads of state and government, international and regional organizations, global institutions, and leading experts to explore key future trends in governance and critical sectors.
