As HIV Testing Week begins on Monday, 10th February, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has taken an at-home HIV test at 10 Downing Street, marking a public demonstration of support for the week-long initiative. Accompanied by soul singer Beverley Knight, Starmer participated in the symbolic act aimed at encouraging widespread HIV testing and reducing stigma.

The Prime Minister was guided through the testing process by Richard Angell, Chief Executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust, a leading charity in HIV advocacy. The move highlights the government’s continued commitment to promoting health awareness and combating HIV-related discrimination, as the country prepares for an important week of education and outreach.
