Kosovo prime minister celebrates parliamentary elections results

Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti celebrated with supporters following a strong performance by his Vetevendosje party in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

Preliminary results indicate that Vetevendosje secured over 42 percent of the vote, a notable achievement, though it falls short of an outright majority. Despite this, Kurti confirmed late in the evening the formation of a new coalition government, marking the beginning of a new phase in Kosovo's political landscape. The coalition, he stated, will be pivotal in ensuring the stability and progress of the country as it navigates the next steps in governance.
