






The Chairman of the Central Committee on Supervising Ground Census Enumeration Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing together with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win held a coordination with Region Government members, members of Bago Region, District and Township Supervising Committee for Ground Census Enumeration at Thiri Hantha Hall in Bago Township on January 28.

The nationwide population and household census has been successfully completed, with the preliminary results published. He also stressed the importance of ensuring that eligible voters receive their voting cards and encouraged cooperation and careful attention to detail in the implementation of the national duty to prepare voter registration lists.
After that, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win presented updates on the region's Ground Census Enumeration data and efforts to ensure the accuracy of population figures. He emphasized that the data should be verified and finalized according to the set deadlines.
The committee members from various sectors discussed how they would contribute to the successful implementation of these processes and meet the necessary requirements in a timely manner. Following these discussions, Union Minister addressed the committee members, providing guidance and urging everyone to work together for the success of the process.
The meeting concluded with final remarks from the Union Minister, and the committee members pledged their cooperation in fulfilling the tasks. After the meeting, the Union Minister and the Bago Region Chief Minister visited the No. (3) Basic Education High School in Bago, where they observed the distribution of citizen scrutiny cards to eligible students under Phase (3) of Pan Khin project.
They commended the work being done and provided guidance for continuing the process, ensuring the smooth operation of the necessary steps. The Union Minister also instructed the principal, Daw Khin Nilar Kyi, to ensure that any remaining eligible students were notified and that the necessary work was coordinated with the township offices.
Following the instructions, a total of 258 students were issued citizen scrutiny cards, and their biometric and biographic data were collected as part of the e-ID system, with unique ID numbers assigned through a one-stop service. The process was successfully completed with the issuance of the national ID cards.
