A plane carrying US President-elect Donald Trump departed from the southern state of Florida, where his estate is located, and arrived at an airport near Washington on Saturday. He plans to hold a rally of supporters in downtown Washington on Sunday.

Trump said, after taking his oath of office on Monday, he will sign a "record-setting" number of executive actions. He made the remarks during his phone interview with NBC News. He commented on his campaign promise to carry out mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, saying the program will "begin very early, very quickly." But Trump said he cannot say from which city it will start "because things are evolving." He added that people will "see it firsthand."
