Effecitve Judicial System : Judicial College opened in Nay Pyi Taw

The newly constructed Judicial College was opened at Othara Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Thursday.

Secretary of the State Administration Council General Aung Lin Dwe attended the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minster Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The opening ceremony commenced by cutting ceremonial ribbon by Union Chief Justice U Thar Htay, Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union U Aung Zaw Thein, and Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant.

Then, the Council Secretary unveiled the signboard of the building, and sprinkled scented water to the inscription.

The ceremony continued with the screening of a video clip related to the Judicial College, and handover of the related documents of the College to the Union Chief Justice as well as the presenting the commemorative gifts to the Council Secretary.

In his speech, the Council Secretary said the newly constructed Judicial College will serve as a venue to conduct learning and discusions for skill enhancement of the judges of newly appointed individuals as well as the mid-level and senior level judges in addition to hosting the foreign trainees.

He stressed the importance of judges to enhance their rationality, spirit, and performance in fostering a reliable judicial system for the public, while highlighting the crucial role of courts with having good organizational structure and characteristics.

Emphasizing the cruciality of accuracy and prompt action in implementing to achieve full coverage of Law enforcement, the Council Secretary called for utmost efforts of the judges in respective roles.

He stressed that the newly opened Judicial College could help promote mutual understanding and friendly relations among ASEAN and other neighbouring countries in judicial matters through cooperation and coordination.

After the ceremony, the attendees toured around the newly opened Judicial College.
