A person dead after Landslide in Rize

In the Cayeli district of Rize, coastal city in the eastern part of the Black Sea Region of Turkey, a landslide occurred on Tuesday following heavy rainfall. Soil masses that broke loose from the hillside filled the ground-floor apartments of a six-story building. One person trapped under the soil and couldn’t save the life, while residents of the building were evacuated by fire brigade teams.
