President-elect Donald Trump returned to Washington on Wednesday for the first time since winning last week's election. US President Joe Biden welcomed Trump to the White House for an Oval Office visit, a traditional part of the peaceful transfer of power.

The White House Press Secretary said the meeting lasted about two hours and that it was also attended by Jeff Zients, who is Biden's Chief of Staff, and Susie Wiles, who will serve that role in the Trump administration. The President and President-elect discussed important national security and domestic policy issues.
