Israel defence minister says 'there will be no ceasefire' in Lebanon

Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz has vowed there would be no ceasefire as Israeli forces continues military offensives in neighboring Lebanon to hit Hezbollah. Israeli forces continued airstrikes on Tuesday in the suburbs of the capital Beirut and southern part of the country against Hezbollah targets.

Residents in the areas had been notified to evacuate. Hezbollah is also continuing its rocket and drone attacks into Israel. The United States has proposed an arrangement for a ceasefire, but Israel remains staunch in its hardline stance.
