Over 130 homes destroyed by a raging wildfire near LA in California

More than 130 homes are now known to have been destroyed by a raging wildfire burning outside Los Angeles, as a break in the weather gave firefighters a chance to tame the blaze.

After surveying the damage, Governor of California signed an emergency proclamation Thursday to help crews extinguish the Southern California wildfire. Since it broke out Wednesday morning, the nearly 32-square-mile blaze has sent thousands fleeing from their homes, damaging 88 structures in addition to the 132 destroyed, authorities said during a Thursday news conference.
