Israel cancels UNRWA agreement

The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that Israel is withdrawing from the 1967 agreement that recognizes the Palestinian refugee agency, UNRWA. This decision follows the passage of legislation by the Knesset aimed at significantly restricting the agency's operations in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip. Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that UNRWA is part of the problem in Gaza Strip rather the solution.

He said the UN was presented with endless evidence about Hamas operations on UNRWA facilities and some Hamas operatives who was working at UNRWA, and the UN did nothing on this issue.
