Luxembourg prince meets Japan’s Emperor

Japanese Emperor Naruhito on Monday met Luxembourg’s Crown Prince Guillaume at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

The Imperial Household Agency said the Emperor expressed his pleasure during the meeting with the crown prince for the first time in 10 years. 

The Emperor also thanked Luxembourg’s government and businesses for their support in the wake of a deadly earthquake that hit Japan’s Noto region. Later in the day, the Luxembourg’s crown prince was welcomed to a dinner hosted by Crown Prince and Princess Akishino with the attendance of Princess Kako and Prince Hisahito.
