Madrid zoo welcomes two new pandas

A pair of giant pandas made its debut at Madrid Zoo Aquarium with an official ceremony attended by authorities and experts from both China and Spain. Panda couples named Jin Xi and Zhu Yu will be spending 10 years at the zoo under the China-Spain giant panda conservation program.

The pair arrived in Spain on 29th April and have completed a month-long quarantine period. Their Chinese caregivers from Chengdu will spend a few more months with them to ensure their smooth relocation and adjustment to their new life.
