Xi Talks with Tunisian President

Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed China’s willingness to work together with Tunisia to bring China-Tunisia relations to a new height during his talks with Tunisian President Kais Saied at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday. This is Saied’s first visit to China after he took office as president of Tunisia in 2019 and also the first encounter between the two leaders after the 2022 China-Arab States Summit.

Xi said that the meeting will inject new momentum to China-Tunisia relations and to the China-Arab cooperation. Under the new circumstances, China would like to work with Tunisia to renew the traditional friendship, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various areas and bring China-Tunisia relations to a new height.
