Chinese Xi and Egyptian Sisi hold talks in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Beijing on Wednesday, with the two sides agreeing to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Noting that Egypt is the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relationship with the People’s Republic of China 68 years ago, Xi called on the two sides to continue to firmly support each other and work together to promote common development.

At the invitation of Xi, Sisi, who arrived in Beijing on Tuesday, is paying a state visit to China, during which he will also attend the opening ceremony of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum on Thursday.
