India launches high-speed train service for Haj pilgrims

In a bid to ease the transport facilities of Indian haj pilgrims, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah has collaborated with Saudi authorities to inaugurate the Haramain High Speed Rail line.

This groundbreaking endeavor will see approximately 32,000 Indian Haj pilgrims embarking on a direct journey via high-speed train from Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport to the revered city of Makkah for the first time this year. India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, was among the inaugural group of Haj pilgrims on Sunday.
