Malaysia and Uzbekistan strengthen economic ties at high-level business forum

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim embarked on a three-day official visit to Uzbekistan starting last Friday, where he participated in various diplomatic engagements, including the Uzbekistan-Malaysia Business Forum.

Anwar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations, highlighting digital transformation and energy transition. He also underscored the growing trade and investment ties between Malaysia and Uzbekistan, expressing Malaysia's willingness to support Uzbekistanin its efforts to establish itself as a hub for Islamic studies, particularly in the field of Hadith.
