Pakistan FM offers condolences after Raisi death

Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar offered condolences after the death of Iran President Ebrahim Raisi, during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Islamabad.

Ishaq Dar, Pakistan Foreign Minister said "I just want to say that it is a very sad day for the Islamaic ummah. We are all very sad and so a Muslims in the great country of Turkiye, Pakistan and Islamic ummah on the sad demise of his Excellency the President of Iran and his Excellency and our common brother the Foreign Minister (of Iran)”.

Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, also announced a day of mourning following reports from Iranian media stating that President Ebrahim Raisi had passed away in a helicopter crash.
