Police seize HK$200 million worth of cocaine

Police busted this year’s largest drug trafficking case involving cocaine. Officers seized a total of 225 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated value of more than 200 million Hong Kong dollars.

The suspected cocaine was found on May 17 when police raided a warehouse in Ping Che, Hong Kong. The suspected drugs were stashed in two containers shipped from the South American country of Suriname, declared to be carrying 40 tonnes of scrap iron. Police arrested two suspects in connection with the case.
