



Colorful carp-shaped streamers are flown across Japan at this time of year for Children’s Day on May 5th.The fish is a symbol of strength, courage and success. Legend has it that a carp once swam up a waterfall and became a dragon.
Locals of Kazo City in Saitama Prefecture, hoisted a huge fish into the air on Friday using a crane. The streamer is 100 meters long and weighs 330 kilograms. In the morning, the wind was too weak. But in the afternoon, the carp started floating, delighting those who looked on. Kazo is famed for producing streamers.
