Germany's Scholz visits factories in China

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited a Sino-German joint venture in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Sunday, the first stop of his three-day official visit to China. Scholz is expected to underline that Germany remains committed to doing business with the world's second-largest economy.
"China remains a really important economic partner," Scholz told journalists on Friday, adding that he would try to level the playing field for German companies in China. The three-day tour through Chongqing, Shanghai and Beijing is his second trip to China since he took office.
