Chinese and Vietnamese FMs hold talks

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Thursday.

During the meeting, Wang stressed that China-Viet Nam relations achieved rapid development last year, with the top leaders of both parties having jointly announced the establishment of a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. He also mentioned the various fields that the two countries should focus on.

Likewise, Bui noted that Viet Nam has always regarded China as its top priority and strategic choice in foreign policy, and is willing to maintain close coordination with China and plan high-level exchanges, strengthen party-to-party exchanges, enhance connectivity, facilitate economic cooperation and trade and actively promote Viet Nam-China friendship.
