China debuts first AI animation

Chinese state broadcaster China Media Group held a ceremony in Beijing on Friday to mark the launch of the country’s first animated series generated by text-to-video artificial intelligence model.

The series, created by AI technology, is a collection of ancient stories based on classic Chinese poems and aims to showcase the country’s traditional culture and aesthetics. The series is scheduled to be broadcast on 26th February. During the ceremony, the China Media Group also unveiled an AI-focused studio.
